INSTALLATION
Installing
Simply position near the waters edge, inflate to 20kPa, 3psi, and float into position. Secure, as below, to suit installation.
De-commissioning.
Position the stowage box or bag at the waters edge, open the inlet/outet valve, taking care to allow water to enter the valve, and as air escapes fold the AiroDock* into the box or bag. If the AiroDock is dirty or coated with sea growth, cleaned with a brush and detergent, prior to deflating.
Ideal for use on beaches, lake front.
--Includes 6 mooring points on the top and 4 on the bottom, AntiSlide* stabilisers on underside, plus Anti-chafe cladding for beach protection.
Various methods can be used to install the AiroDock on a beach.
1. FIXING STAKES
The dock should be installed in such a way that the beach end is located, just above the high water mark, and rigidly fixed to an object on the beach or some other temporary fixing point.
The easiest way to fix is to use “Fixing Stakes”. 1m metal stake that can be driven into the sand using a heavy hammer or mallet. The inner end of the AiroDock* is then lashed around the stake to the “D-Rings fitted to the beach end of the AiroDock*. It is very important to lash the AiroDock* firmly to these stakes to prevent and movement as any slack will cause the AiroDock to shake when you walk along the dock.
The “Fixing Stakes” are ideal for most soft sand but where the beach is muddy or rocky it may require some form of modified stakes. Please discuss with Lancer at the time of ordering.
2. BEACH BOX
Not only does the Beach box serve as an ideal storage and transportation system, but it can also be used to moor the AiroDock* on the beach. The exact method will depend on the beach and the length of the AiroDock*, but the easiest method is to lock the box into position using some stakes throught the specially prepared holes in the bottom of the box. Or filling the box with sand, rocks or weights to hold it in position.
The Dock is then lashed to the box using the holes provided.
3. BEACH ANCHOR
Attach to the “D-Ring” on the underside, half way along the AiroDock* and extend back to the beach at around 45 degrees. Embed into he beach and then tighten the rope to suit.
Creates a swim platform at the stern of any vessel, to improve mooring space or to create a leisure area.
--Includes 5 mooring points on the top and 2 on the bottom. Plus Anti-chafe along the attachment area.
The exact fixing method will depend on the transom design and any appendages at the rear of the vessel. Please check with Lancer prior to ordering.
Ideally the AiroDock* will be lashed to two cleats either side of the vessel so that the AiroDock* is held rigidly against the transom.
